  Firstly I will give applause to the workshop side of buckinghambikes, I don't need to use them much as I'm a hands on person but when I need it they've always got the job done quickly and efficiently. However, most of the staff seem to have some kind of superiority complex and I don't appreciate being spoken to like an idiot. I've built many bikes and my walking into your shop doesn't mean I'm inferior to you. Next time I will just order parts online elsewhere.

  Seems a real shame to rate a LBS so low but after months of putting it off I want to give me thoughts on the shop. Had a set of Hydraulic Brakes fitted by these chaps and they have never properly worked. The front hose was incorrectly fitted (went through the centre of the forks) and was told at the time "this is how its done to avoid clipping the hose on bushes". Secondly, and most importantly, the brakes simply will not bring the bike to a stop. I thought it may have been a bedding in period at the time as everything was brand new, but it has now been 5000km. They will slow the bike but nothing, NOTHING, like they should do when compared with exactly the same spec set up and the same rider. They get hot and make a lot of noise but do not stop the bike in the way powerful brakes should. I timed it today down a 4% slope, 85kg rider and 12kg bike @20kph. It took nearly 20 seconds to slow the bike. Unfortunately, I was only passing through to get this work done so the chaps have not had the opportunity to try and fix them. This is the only thing preventing me from a 1* review as it would only be fair to give them another try. Sorry, but the work simply was not good enough.

  Fantastic selection of bikes and very knowledgeable and helpful staff. I've purchased two mountain bikes and lots of accessories from them which I'm very satisfied with.
